In Honor of Kevin M. Coombs

Kevin was a Detachment 380 cadet for two years and an active member of Arnold Air Society. Tragically, Kevin took his own life in May of 2019, following his 200 year. He was a kind soul, a dedicated student and cadet, and a joy to all who had the privilege of knowing him.

In honor of Kevin's memory, this scholarship was established in 2022 by detachment 380's 2021 commissioning class. Its purpose is to provide opportunities for 200-level non-scholarship cadets by funding their attendance at the Arnold Air Society National Conclave. The scholarship is awarded annually and presented by Kevin’s mother, Mindi, during the Detachment 380 annual awards ceremony. To date this fund has provided several cadets the opportunity to attend a national leadership conference, cost free.
